About DreamGate
Built around one rule: rest comes first
DreamGate is a free, private app for sleep practice and morning clarity, made by ADNAP Industries. It's still in development. This page describes what we're building as designed, and the rules we build it by.
Why it exists
Sleep, dreams and mornings, as one rhythm
Most apps treat sleep, dreams and mornings as separate chores, and many add pressure on top: streaks to keep, scores to chase. DreamGate treats them as one connected rhythm: a calm night, and a morning that's worth something whether you remember a dream or wake up blank.
-
01 · Rest first
Good sleep is never the price of a feature
Night cues stay off until a set of rest rules on your phone are met, and when the app isn't sure, it chooses rest. No streaks to break, no sleep grades and no "you failed" messages.
-
02 · Private by design
Your journal is yours
Your journal is stored encrypted on your phone. There's no account, no server of ours holding your entries, and no analytics, ads or trackers. Backups are encrypted with a passphrase only you know.
-
03 · Honest about what it is
A wellness tool, not medical care
DreamGate doesn't diagnose or treat anything, and it doesn't promise lucid dreams or better sleep. It counts the themes in your dreams without telling you what they mean.
-
04 · Safety is never behind a paywall
Safety is part of the free app
The core app is free, and every safety feature is part of it. Protecting your rest isn't an upgrade, and wearable sync will be free too when it arrives.
How it's built
On your phone, and in the open
Everything the app does, from sorting your morning to turning speech into text, happens on your phone. Its guides draw on published sleep and lucid dreaming research. The evidence is real but modest, and we say so.
The documents behind DreamGate, from the terms to how its encryption works, are written to be read. Each one shows its version, when it last changed and whether it's in force.
Who makes it
ADNAP Industries
DreamGate is made by ADNAP Industries, the trade name of Adnap LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company.
