How do I delete my data?

Short answerSettings, then Your data, then Delete all data erases everything DreamGate keeps on this phone. It can't be undone, and it doesn't touch backup files you've saved elsewhere.

Delete individual entries

You can edit or delete individual entries in the app at any time.

Delete everything

  1. Open Settings → Your data → Delete all data.
  2. Confirm Delete everything.

This erases every entry, task, record and setting, and your saved location, from DreamGate on this phone. It can't be undone. It doesn't touch backup files you've already saved elsewhere: delete those separately if you want them gone too.

It also deletes the journal's encryption key and starts again with a new one, and removes backup copies the app kept in its own temporary storage, so erased data can't be recovered from the phone.

Delete the app

Deleting the app removes its database from your phone. Make a backup first if you want to keep anything: see Backups and restoring.

Anything we hold

We don't hold your entries, so there's nothing for us to delete there. The only personal information we may hold is an email you sent us, or your address on the launch list. To have it deleted, email legal@dreamgate.one.
